Porthpenwaig

Building on Rondo's reputation for producing quality drama, Porthpenwaig is an eight part series set in the beautiful north Llŷn Peninsula produced for S4C.

Filming took place in the village of Aberdaron during the summer and autumn of 2010 with the village becoming one big television set as the village hotel and corner shop experienced a rebranding and a makeover especially for Porthpenwaig.

The series revolves around Huw Ynyr, the son of local hotelier, and the dilema he faces on graduating from University.

Does Huw return to the village where he was brought up and to his childhood sweet heart, or does he head off to the bright lights of Cardiff with the girl he has met at University?
